I find it ironic that people say “but we’re not all like that” in response to some statement regarding a privileged group, and yet the same people seem to think everybody on Tumblr are all men-hating white-hating cis-hating unreasonable and hypocritical crazed SJ warrior who basically wants to murder everyone that belongs to a privileged group (needless to say, we’re not, and that’s not the point of SJ).
Is it problematic that “SJ” people are bullying such people for only having particular privileges? Yes. Of course it’s not right. But you see where this irony comes in. The reason for demonizing Tumblr users is that while “SJ” bullies form a minority, enough and too many of them exist to point it out as a problem. Right? Is the same logic suddenly unreasonable when applied to other groups that are largely responsible for the misery of many marginalized groups?
